Dr Amir Nazim

Amir qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2012 with Honours. During his undergraduate training, he was awarded the Unilever Research Prize for his Patient Management and Health Promotion project. He was also the co-founder and Vice President of the British Medical Dental Careers Fair which attracted over 1500 Medical and Dental students across the UK.

He completed his Vocational Training in Kilmarnock, and has been working in General Dental Practice since. He successfully gained the Membership of Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) postgraduate qualification in 2014.

Since 2017, Amir has been appointed as a Trainer by NHS Education for Scotland and provides training to newly qualified Dentists.

Due to a keen interest in Cosmetic Dentistry, Amir undertook a Masters of Science (MSc) in Prosthodontics at the University of Central Lancashire. He successfully completed his MSc in 2018 and was awarded a distinction for his final research project and case presentation.

ABOUT

Amir has an interest in Orthodontics and has successfully trained to provide a number of Short Term Orthodontic treatments including Invisalign, CFast and Six Month Smiles. He has also trained to place and restore Dental Implants.

In 2019, Amir was awarded the Membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) diploma by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and, in 2020, he also gained Membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgery (UK). Subsequently, in 2021, Amir was awarded the 'Best Young Dentist' award at the 2021 Dentistry Scotland Awards.

Out-with Dentistry, Amir likes to spend time with his family and has a keen interest in photography.
